What is SPG Comando?
The Full form of SPG Commando is Special Protection Group. SPG is the Armed Force of the Union whose sole purpose is to provide security close to the Prime Minister of India.
The SPG commando that can handle 40 people at a time is responsible for the security of the prime minister of the world's largest democracy.
How are they made?
After the assassination of Indira Gandhi in 1984, It was created in 1988 by an Act of the Indian Parliament. The SPG provides the highest level of protection to the Prime Minister of India and to international travel anywhere in the world.
SPG are not recruited directly, nor are they recruited through any form fillup. Here the best officers from Police, CISF, ITBP, Paramilitary and many such organizations are selected for SPG. After that, these individuals are given the Top Level Training that is given in the United States Secret Service. The top level of this training is something we haven’t even seen in movies.
SPG commandos always wear bullet proof jackets. This bullet proof jacket can withstand AK-47 bullets.
Today it is considered as one of the best agencies in the world.
How much is their salary?
The salary of this command ranges from ₹ 1 lakh to ₹ 2.5 lakh in inr.
